Thursday, Mar. 11, 2004 | 12:04 PM Making it official
So last night Matt and I went down to the Sound Museum on North Beacon and we officially got our fucking practice space. We are loading in today!!!! We had several celebratory drinks at the Model afterwards, where we dominated the jukebox and played spot the local rock stars of whose ranks we shall soon be among. WOOOOOO FUCKING HOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! And now that its basically 99% official, I can tell you that the drummer for the Downbeat 5 is going to be our drummer for our Skybar show on April 10th, and possibly beyond that. We basically have an entire albums worth of material right now. And its possible that a certain famous Bostonian formerly of the Drop Nineteens may produce our record. Next phase is band logo, photos (ugheveryone else is so goddamned attractive. Its embarrassing to be the least cute person in the band. Oh well.) website, recording, press packet, getting reviewed, taking over world, etc. I know that we are going to be very big. I know that by January 2006, well be off on a national tour opening for a real band and that I will no longer have a day job. How do I know this? I just do. The same way I knew I had to get on that bus to go home for Thanksgiving which is how I met Matt, who is one of the best friends Ive ever had, someone I love more than I ever believed possible, someone who has given me back my love for playing and listening to music, and someone with whom creating music is utterly effortless and completely magical. Im on cloud 9 today, kids. I cannot wait for our show.
