Watched Let America Laugh (yes the title is supposed to be ironic�it�s a meta-joke), the David Cross documentary last night and it was everything I had dreamed it would be and so much more. If that DVD was a human being, I would take him or her out to a romantic french restaurant, order us both the duck and a bottle of Old Granddad, and then after our meal back to my place to make sweet sweet ass love. I would even allow this personification of the DVD to fuck me right in the ass if it/he/she so wished. Seriously, that�s how amazing it was�I would sacrifice my 2nd virginity to make it/they/Mr./Madame happy. While watching, I laughed so hard I was screaming and at one point I rolled off of my bed and I was on the floor in religious ecstasy, frothing at the mouth and speaking in tongues. Bfore yesterday, I don�t know if I have ever shouted, I love you so much! I want to have your babies! at a TV. Granted, I was high as a kite and I�m sure that added to the DVD�s power to enslave me and brainwash me into total submission, but I think it�s a wicked awesome movie anyway.

David Cross�s confidence in his own point of view and his compulsion to tell the truth is mind blowing. He just skewers people, but with great discernment. David�s not some hack comic that makes fun of everything and everyone, but when he finds a deserving target he just slices through it and leaves it bleeding and full of holes.

�Also watched a couple episodes of Tenacious D and giggled like a remedial school girl. I�m growing to love The D. The show�s premise is perfect�I love the 3 act structure, and the music is awesome; it makes fun of rock conventions with such precision, but even though it�s all tongue in cheek, in actuality the songs are really really good�chock full of kick ass riffs and harmonies. Tenacious D is this great biting satire but at core it has the sweetest candy heart. I don�t know if I have ever seen satire done with so much tenderness and reverence for its subject. I would fucking kill to see those guys live. Especially if Jack Black wears those shorts he sports in School of Rock. I honestly think he is one of the hottest men to have ever walked God's poka-dotted earth.
