Its Friday and its a beautiful day. I woke up this morning laughing. Im wearing my Rivendale dress and I have a great weekend to look forward to. Intimate dinner tonight with Angus. Company rehearsal tomorrow afternoon. Tomorrow evening going to see Trinity Test, The Hound, For Your Own Good, and Life In Your Own Way with Liz at some free basement show in Allston (by the waylast time I lived in Allston I fucking hated it. Now I love it. I LOVE living in Allston.) and then Sunday hanging out with Matt and then that evening BAND PRACTICE. Here is where I want to be five years from now You know what makes me so super glad all over? Every single thing Im doing right now is not only highly enjoyable, but something that is actively taking me towards where I want to be five years from now. God Im so happy. When I got home last night I cracked open a PBR after my long, productive, beautiful day and I lounged around in my underwear (Its black and sexy and new. Woo hoo!) watching Mr. Show and laughing my ass off until I finally fell asleep. And I only got three hours of shut eye again last night because Im so excited and all I can think about is music, but thats OK. I love being in band that has no compunction about wearing our cheesiest influences proudly like a great big spray painted hot pink heart on our collective musical sleeve. We are so totally different than anything else thats going on right now. I love life. I love music. I love you. In closing, here are fifty bands I would have wanted to be my valentine if you could make love to a whole band (not the people in the band but the concept) 1. The Hollies 2. Anti-Love Project 3. The Derelict Brew 4. The Guess Who 5. Duran Duran 6. Iron & Wine 7. Writers in Crisis 8. Radiohead 9. The Mamas and the Papas 10. Slowdive 11. The Microphones 12. Three Dog Night 13.
