Vanity Fair has a terrific and utterly chilling article about John Ashcroft in its new issue. I lost count of the number of times I gasped while reading it. I also yelled �Jesus fucking Christ� during several particularly offensive revelations. This man is a fucking monster and he has to go.

Today I was reading this article in the New York Times about the GOP gunning for Kerry. I really hope the Kerry Campaign doesn�t use the tactic of trying to prove that he�s not a liberal as a way to combat the invective. I hope they don�t take the defensive on this one, because there is nothing to be defensive about. They have to sharpen their teeth and go right for the jugular. I wanna see Kerry skewer Bush in a debate. For every charge of �Yankee Liberal Out of Touch with the American People�, I wanna hear Kerry talk about the unconstitutionality of the patriot act, the fact that thousands of people have been jailed without being charged and held for indefinite periods of time, the fact that Haliburton is gutting Iraq and screwing the tax payers, the fact that the Bush administration lied to congress and the American people and are now trying to double speak their way out of it by saying they never explicitly said there were WMD. I wanna hear about how the Bush Administration turned a surplus into a raging deficit. I wanna hear him call Bush et al fascists, because that�s what they are. They don�t even bear any resemblance to the supposed philosophy of the old Republican Party.

I have never ever in my life been more riled up about politics than I am now. We are in very scary times.

And you know what? Fuck the fucking South, dude. Fuck �em. Screw those blue backwater states below the Mason Dixon Line. I�m so fucking sick of candidates having to prove that they love Jesus Christ in order to get elected. If the dems can get the North East, the mid west and the the west coast, we can win. Fuck the South. Why should the least common denominator get to determine what happens to this country?

I am so angry about this that I am personally angry. I�m not kidding when I say that I�d like to see the entire Bush Administration lined up and publicly flogged for what they have done to this country, for the thousands of Iraqis and the hundreds of US soldiers they have sent to die for no goddamned good reason. That�s how pissed I am about what is going on right now. Things are only going to get worse, too. We have to get these people out of office. I don�t care what it takes.
