I just had a marathon phone conversation with Alamada, who has been away in Brazil for awhile. I always forget how much I love talking to her until I actually do. She's really wonderful. She seems so at peace and together. She was always fucking great as a person but the way she's grown in the last couple years is remarkable.

A lot of what she said tonight was excellent and right on the money-- she's very insightful and I feel lucky to have her as a friend.

Of course now that I filled her in on stuff (well not filled her in since the grapevine is like a lit fuse in this city, but rather discussed with her certain situations to which she had already been made privy) I'm feeling a bit irritated again about things I'm trying not to be irritated over.

Main point: Alamada = awesome. I am making her dinner next Friday night.
