I want to make sure I remember what an awesome weekend this is, hence the running commentary diary updates.

I am dying my hair right now and Sean and Danni are in the other room watching a Candida Royale porn. (Have you ever noticed that a group of hipsters watching porn is reminiscent of jocks watching football?)

This morning Sean and I talked and we listened to his recent 4 track tapes. His songwrtiting is so excellent and he seems to be doing pretty well with performing in New York. 40 people showed up to his last show. I can absolutely see him becoming The Next Big Thing-- he's very New York in a different way than say, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs (finally just heard them a couple nights ago) or The Strokes are. He's more like Lou Reed-- or better yet, he is to New York what Jonathan Richman is to Boston-- he's a little goofy and sweet but snarly too.

Danni showed up around noon. We smoked some pot and did tarot and talked about many things Then the three of us went costume shopping at Oonas for this evening's festivities. I'd like to describe our purcahses (which were truly excellent) but will save that for later. We followed the spend-a-thon up with a huge lunch at a Japanese Restaurant-- sushi, gyoza, kim chi, lots of saki, and the crowing glory-- steak tar tar complete with raw egg (in the spirit of continuing on my adventurous streak, I managed to eat some of the raw beef and egg on apple slices and it actually wasn't so bad.)

After lunch it was on to CVS for more costume related material and then to the liquor store where mass quanities were purchased. Now we're all back here at my pad chilling and being fabulous, getting ready for tonight.
