Laughing into the fire/Is it always like this?/Flesh and blood its the first kiss/The first colors the first kiss I just made the best two mixes. Dont wanna ruin em too much for the gal I made em for. But I cant resist bragging a tad. Ones called Songs in Red: A Dexadrine Mix The others called Songs in Blue: A Valium Mix The Dexedrine mix has songs by X and The Modern Lovers and The B-52s and Le Tigre among others. And the Valium mix has selections by The Cure and Ida and The Shangri Las and Grant Lee Buffalo and several more golden sob story greats. ***Its strange when one of your favorite memories just happened to you. Something you werent expecting. Totally spontaneous and absolutely true. Like tuning into the radio not expecting to hear anything good, and then suddenly, sonofabitch, theres this song and you dont even know who its by but you cant keep from humming along and twitching your toes with joy. And suddenly its over. You wanna hear it again but you dont even know what the title is so you cant very well call the station and say, Um can you spin that new disc, you know the one? Its got a good beat and you can dance to it? You just have to savour the feeling and wonder if youre singing the tune right. And hope that maybe on some sunny day soon itll grace your car stereo once again. And next time youll catch more of the lyrics. ***
