I think it would be really cool if I found a diary I liked and I read it religiously every day and it turned out to be the diary of somebody I used to know as a kid-- somebody who maybe married a lumberjack and opened a vegetarian restaraunt in Washington state.

Or the diary of that girl whose office is accross the hall from mine. We say hi every day, and now I know that she had macaroni and cheese for dinner last night and she's divorcing her husband.

Or it would be neat if it was somebody I didn't like too much, someone I dismissed as a plain jane, whose diary revealed an inner life of enormous creativity and compassion.

I want to be surprised by you.
