Ugh. How depressing.

I just spent a tad too much time on this website and am now really disgusted.

This is the kind of thing that causes me a bulimia relapse.

Women singers being rated on a numerical scale based on how attractive and sexy they are? On the site, Jill Scott (who is a perfectly normal healthy weight) was maligned for being too fat, and Tori Amos was called "unsexy." Um... who says Tori Amos is unsexy? And Stevie Nicks is dismissed because she's too old. WHAT THE FUCK, dude. WE ARE TALKING ABOUT SINGERS HERE. DOES ANYONE DISMISS BOB DYLAN BECAUSE HE'S TOO FUCKING OLD?

This always makes me feel so horrible about myself and curse the genes I have. Because Christ almighty if I was a skinny size two with big tits and 3% body fat, no joke kids, I would be the biggest fucking star on the planet. I know how pompous this sounds. I am insecure about many things, but I am far more talented than 95% of the singers out there. It�s just the goddamned truth. I mean, if this were the forties and you could just have a career in radio and be a girl singer, I'd be the best of the fucking bunch. It makes me soooooooooo angry that things are like this. I hate it.

I just watched Margaret Cho's I'm the One that I want comedy concert tonight, and I definitely recommend seeing it for those of you that haven't. She talks about her ill fated sitcom and how she was forced to lose so much weight in order to play herself that her kidneys wound up collapsing and she was in the hospital for two weeks.

Fuck this fucking world, dude. I know how self pitying this might sound but I am so FUCKING sick of being told what a pretty face I have and what an incredibly powerful voice and isn�t it a damned shame that I couldn't CONTROL myself and get down to a "reasonable" weight (yes, a director actually told me this when I was fourteen years old.)

I say we all rise up and stop this nonsense. Fucking throw over the sick Beauty order and declare mutiny. All of us with our fat bellies and big asses and different colored eyes and zits and round faces and those of us who are of color and anyone who doesn�t fit this extreme little teeny tiney girl with big huge tits and great manners, anyone who isn�t a go-go girl or a Stepford Wife�lets fucking bomb Vivendi Universal, unseat all the executives at Paramount, and make some real ART.
