Everybody has shitty work stories. And I have no right to bitch. I have a good job, and a lot of people are out of work right now. So my boss spoke inappropriately? Oh well. She was having a bad day. It happens. It doesnt compare with The Stupid Company where you never knew from one day or the next what craziness you were going to be blamed for. Besides, as Emily pointed out, she did have a point (though I still think her original email would have sufficedthere really was no reason to bring it up again in the manner she didI think I was scapegoated a little, butnobodys perfect) This is the first time in the year and a half Ive worked at my current day job that I felt I was the slightest bit unfairly treated. Thats a hella good track record, aint it? Ive gotten spoiled I guess, and I need to remember that I am truly fucking lucky to work somewhere that isnt a hell hole. Also, my second job has rocked my world tonight. We had a party. I got to listen to vibraphone music and eat gourmet honey smoked turkey and whole grain bread and truffles and cherry coke. And I got a pair of free tickets (as is the major perk of job #2constant free concerts) to The English Christmas Concert at Symphony Hall on Saturday night. Im taking Jenn. It should be extraordinary.
