My grandmother fell down the stairs and broke her arm this weekend. My mom left me a message on my answering machine.

My grandmother also just had a cat scan which showed her cerebellum has shrunk due to some mild strokes.

She is in her eighties.

She is not doing so well.

She is getting older and I have to face the fact that at some point in the not so distant future, she isn�t going to be there for me anymore. Right now I am just so worried about her and I can�t go home until Thanksgiving, which isn�t so far away. But I wish I could leave now and be with her.

It makes me so so sad. I am closer to my grandmother than probably just about anyone in the world. I don�t even know what to say right now. I�m just feeling kind of sick about it.
