I got about 2 hours of sleep last night.

Why, you may ask?

Well for some odd reason there is no heat in my apartment. There is heat in the building�in the hallway and the lobby. But for some reason no heat in my unit.

Now I am not way into having the heat on high. I like things on the cooler side, so I really hadn�t noticed until last night. WHEN IT WAS SO FUCKING COLD YOU COULD SEE YOUR BREATH HANGING IN THE AIR.

I wore my flannel nightgown over a tea shirt, long underwear, two pairs of socks, and my hoodie sweatshirt. I was under three heavy blankets. And still I was freezing.

My sleep was fitful. I woke up from terrible dreams with tears running down my face.

One of the dreams was about the sniper in DC.

And one of the dreams was about finding two little tiny kittens in my basement, and taking them home to be my pets, but the landlord forcing me to get rid of them, and the poor little kittens being eaten by wolves outside.

This may sound ridiculous, but I woke up sobbing.

It�s times like that when I really want to be cuddled up with someone else. I really really miss cuddling.

Le sigh. Well, back to my cuddle-less life. I have to wait another half hour before the affiliated housing office opens so I can call and t4ell them that my fucking heat better be turned on like, now. I am not paying over a thousand dollars a month to freeze my ass off.
