When I woke up this afternoon at 3:30, Josh was just about to leave for work.. Debbie and Brian and Laura had all gone to Harvard Square. So I played with Chowda, Josh and Debbies kittie, and eventually took a cab back home. In the taxi, The Beatles A Day In The Life was playing on the radio. God damnt I love this fucking song., said I. The cab driver concurred. No shit, honey. Its the fucking Beatles. How much better can you get than that? How much better can things get? I can truly say that yesterday night might have been the most fun I have ever had in my entire life. I broke the cleanse by drinking some sidecars at Buddy L.s going away party. Everyone there was super fun and nice and smart. It was just amazing. Josh and I stayed up until 6:30 in the morning talking. And he played me a bunch of his songs that hes recorded, which are just phenomenal. And he was nice enough to mix me sidecar after sidecar. When I got home today I called Debbies cell because I knew she was in my neighborhood. She and Brian and Laura and Chris came over and chilled. We played Exquisite Corpse and listened to The Apples in Stereo and an 80s new wave compilation and Bellena and Sebastian and Bowie. They just left and tonight were going karaoke-ing. This entry probably isnt that interesting, and I wish I could write more articulately about the events of the past 24 hours, but Im just revelling in joy. I forgot how wonderful life can be. I forgot how joyous and creative and kind human beings can be. I forgot that for so long. And Im never ever going to let myself forget again. OKoff to drink some cayenne pepper, lemon juice, and maple syrup. Mm mm good!
