Jenn helped me pack all day yesterday.

I am 75% of the way finished.

Every day is a roller coaster ride from elation to despair and back.

I am so excited and so terrified.

One great thing though, was packing up all my cassette tapes that had been pretty inaccessible to me, and re-discovering what I owned. I have over 500 tapes.

And of course at least thirty or so mix tapes�one from him and one from him and of course several from him, and many that I made for myself including a tape titled �Teenage Gang Debs� compiled when I was sixteen and sooooo into riot grrrl music.

I cannot wait to spend an entire Sunday afternoon in my new place, laying around on my sofa, smoking a joint and listening to all the forgotten music.

I also have this image of myself falling asleep in my new girly-bedroom surrounded by lush red carpet and pre-Raphealite pictures and music boxes and apothecary chests. And that image makes me feel happy and safe.

It also makes me feel sort of lame, but whatever.
