Dear Snarky Bastard,

I just read the entry that you wrote in my slambook:

just want to so that it was not some 80's band that said "don't know what you got till it's gone" it was Joni Mitchell. Duh

First off, I am hoping that you were drunk while writing that as your grammar leaves something to be desired, and it would be a shame to think of you wandering through the cold world attempting to communicate in the kind of broken English you displayed in my slambook.

Obviously I know that Joni Mitchell said "you don't know what you got 'till it's gone". She said it in the song "Big Yellow Taxi" which is on the "Ladies in the Canyon" album which came out in 1970. I am a huge Joni Mitchell fan.

I was being facetious by quoting the 80's band Cinderella who sang,

"You don't know what you've got till it's gone

I don't know what I did that was so wrong

Now I know what I've got it's just this song"

This happens to be one of the worst songs of all time.
